How to display items only when they are printed

Restaurants that use the Tables app sometimes use the Fire button to control the flow of items to the kitchen. The typical workflow would be the following:
  1. Enter appetizer items, then hit Fire
  2. Enter main entree item, then hit Save
  3. When the table is ready for entrees, open the order and hit Fire

Steps to display an item only when it is printed, you can do the following

  1. Open the Kitchen Display app
  2. Click on Settings on the top right corner
  3. Click on Display Settings
  4. Check the checkbox of the setting for "Display only printed order items"

Now only the printed items will be displayed on your KD app
