The American with Disabilities Act (ADA) ensures that your restaurant (as a public venue) meets accessibility requirements. Inside your restaurant this has typically meant that people with disabilities are able to appropriately access your venue.
In the last few years, the ADA has been interpreted more broadly by the courts to include web-based (i.e. online ordering) systems so that people with disabilities (i.e. blind users) have appropriate accommodations when ordering from your website (similar to how they would order from inside your store). Practically, this means that your site or app supports screen readers, keyboard navigation and other accessibility requirements outlined in the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0).

For your Orderspoon site to be ADA Compliant, a few simple measures should be taken. Most of these measures apply to image descriptions. A person using a screen reader as a means of navigating websites will find image descriptions very helpful. When the mouse hovers over an image, the screen reader will verbalise the image descriptions that are added.
